Have just been informed by a friend of a major reduction in TL interest rates on Time Deposit accounts has anyone else noticed this??

I see on their website certain TL accounts now paying only 4.5% is this a new development?

In my experience, and I have been with them years, 4.5% is currently the base rate and has been for quite a while. If you have a term account depending how much is invested you get a much better rate, the current month ( invested for 34 days) is 37.5%, although I don't expect these kind of rates to continue for much longer..

Check iktisatbank they have some good rates, speak to Nesrin.

Left Garanti ages ago....

Yes I would believe that! But i'm not with Garanti myself, actually I do use Iktisatbank...
My friend said that their interest payment had dramatically shortened this month so is why I asked if anybody else affected or maybe just an error!!

All bank staff friendly and happy to help, they understand it’s their job. Shame other well known bank not don’t adopt same work ethic, and a smile

Nesrin was always first class at Credit West and I thought she was happy at Garanti

Pity someone with her expertise and smile doesn't become manager of a bank close to the Golden Lady (Dame with the Flame) , yee Gods, what a miserable bunch.

Definitely Credit West loss…..not a happy place now…..

Turkish central bank reduced rates

Credit west is a very happy bank, provided your language is Ukrainian, Russian. or German. However, they sponsor a number of Charities who benefit. I've left them btw.

I agree that Creditwest sponsor many charities here, some of them expat driven & some more general ones.

Haven't been into 'my' Branch for years - I do it all online!

Not when i went in recently not a smile to be had, yes they sponsor charities but customers deserve good service.
Be leaving when deposit term is up..
