Dog attack Diana beach, Catalkoy.

Warning:
As I approached Diana Beach area about 0830 for my morning walk with my two dogs, I saw the Pakistani shepherd coming from the new hotel (under construction) with his sheep and goats.
I saw the flock suddenly scatter and running around in circles. As I got nearer, it was obvious a dog was attacking them. In minutes, it had unfortunately gotten one of the sheep by the neck and seriously injured it.
The dog was a white ’pit bull’ type (unsure exactly what, one of those with a very large head and muscular body). The owner (female) barely managed to beat the dog off the poor animal with the shepherds stick. The sheep ended up in the ditch. I told the shepherd to call the police immediately, but he just walked off after the flock leaving the animal. The woman did stay with the sheep after getting her dog in her car.
Had I been 10 min’s earlier, I would have been there with my two dogs, both small and one elderly. They would not have stood a chance either.
Returning home, I called the police to report it to CID, explaining the injured sheep was probably still there – ‘they will look into it’.
If you walk your dogs down there, I give these details (as I gave to the police) as a warning: vehicle was a white Japanese boxy car (bit like a Cubo) Registration RC 279. I’d suggest exercising extreme caution if it is down there when you arrive.
