Problem paying Kibtek

Not sure which of the following is the cause and can't get through to Kibtek on phone at the moment.

1. After 20 years or so I now have a Turkish bank and card. So not sure if Kibtek won't recognise it after so long of using UK bank OR

2. It goes so far and then converts back to Turkish on a Halk Bank screen which I don't totally understand and not sure what to do,

Any help please. Don't want a fine for late payment!!

Sorry I can't help with transaction, but if you are doing the payment on laptop/computer, you can use Google Lens app on your phone to translate by holding phone in front of computer screen....bit like taking photo of screen.
Hopefully someone will be along soon though to properly help.

If it's your first time using the Turkish bank card for this, it may not be enabled yet for online payments - with many banks here the default appears to be off.

steveodp, I think you are right and I will be queuing up outside the bank at 8am on Monday. Paypoint wouldn't work either, for much the same reason.

You may well be able to make your card Internet ready on your bank's website. Have a look there before you spend your time queuing up, only to be told you could have done this online!

I pay Kibtec at Koop bank Lapta or Belediye have machines in their premises which take uk bank cards.

I just make a direct payment to the bank from my current account online. Very easy and no charges.

With regard to getting the bank card online ready just call the bank and they will give you a number to call to do this. Again very easy.
