Sounds like there is a major power outage all over. Due to a fault in high voltage lines. Kibtek hope to restore all areas within 2 hours, (roughly 10 a.m. )

It's never come back on in Tatlisu since it went off apparently around 6 am. Learned from a neighbour that there was an outage late last night/during the night, but knew nothing about it.

Its all due to the weather, dust clouds, humid mornings, drier climate, no rain and apparently it happens in regions with similar climatic conditions, so moisture getting in the insulators on high voltage lines....Well, they have silicone ones arriving soon and they will be better than the glass insulators they currently use and once they have completed the transformation, you will have less malfunctions... everything will be ok for you all.
You can read all about it on Facebook if you search Kibris Turk Elektrik Kurumu.

Ouch Gates, sorry you were cut off for so long. It's hard going when it gets dark but at least it's not cold, hope you have rechargeable or some alternative form of lighting.

Here's me thinking of practical things like cooking and lighting. Have to admit that racing never came into my mind. Did give me a laugh though.
On saying that, I do think it's important to have mobile data when no internet. Finally got a power bank whilst in UK which has come in very handy.

If you don't mind telling us, how much are the banks compared to here. All my family in UK have them and I should have asked them to pick one up with them. Too late now.

I got quite a powerful Anker one which could power laptop as well as phone, which cost me £65.99 and is still same price today for Amazon Prime members. It's approved to be taken on airlines (hand luggage only). I wanted a decent make and Anker products have never let me down in the past.

There are much cheaper less powerful ones. As for price compared to here, sorry I have no idea as I haven't checked.

Thanks for that, I'll probably buy a cheaper one here just for mobiles. I have my old and ancient Laptop permanently on mains as battery would only last about an hour. I boost my tablet all day and that lasts all night cos I always fall asleep with it on.!!!!

No problem BB. Actually after I had posted, I had a quick look at Sharaf and Teknogold websites. Realised I had looked a good while ago, but they didn't have as powerful one as I wanted, hence me getting in UK. Sorry, my memory is totally naff at times. Anyway, looking at prices, you are just as well buying here, it's about eeksy peeksy.
Here's what Sharaf have (as well as a poncho without power bank

) to give you an idea of prices.
