On line residency question.

My residency expires on the 25th November, I have found the web site to renew and logged in however, my current residency certificate shows on the screen. Someone on this forum said that nearer the time a "renew" button/option should appear? With only 10 days left you would think it would be there?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Renewal is available from 21 days before the expiry date on the visa. If I remember correctly, the renew button is at the bottom left corner, you may need to scroll down to see it.

Thanks for your advise however, the current visa takes up the whole page, I have downloaded it, refreshed the site, it wont go away.

Or try a different browser, e.g. Chrome, Firefox etc.

Turn off any VPN, you could try changing the password which might refresh the whole thing?

Lastly just check the date again maybe you have another year to go as no-one else has reported this problem (you never know lol)

I really appreciate the advise given. The first thing I did was checked the expiry date, its definitely 25/11/2026. Yes, it wont work with the VPN on so that goes off, I will change the password thanks, anything, it drives you mad living here, you think I would know better after being here 22yrs!! I can see myself having to go to immigration at this rate.

Don't give it another thought, I checked up on my laptop calendar before posting to make sure I was right. The number of daft things that I do these days is ridiculous. Main thing is that there isn't a problem, and you don't have to go to Lefkosa.
Thanks for the offer of a drink, but am in Tatlisu. I'll raise the next coffee to both of us, at least neither of us is alone with our naff memory.

Don't laugh too hard Hair Cut, it will come to you too, one of these days. This morning, twice I went upstairs to retrieve my specs, taking stuff up with me, twice I came down without them. Well 2nd time half way down when I remembered. Still, you do have to laugh a bit when you do something daft/forget stuff, otherwise you'd go mad.

alphamike, you and I should write a book!! Last week I lost car keys. I turned the whole house and car completely inside out, spent a good two hours on it. Finally I was exhausted and made myself a coffee and put my feet up. Stood up again the see what was stuffed into my back pocket. I found the car keys. I had moved from room to rooms, carrying the bl===y things around with me. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So stood and swore at myself for a good give minutes and felt so much better.

 Brilliant BB. We definitely could write a book, with the proviso I'd have to write everything down as it happened, otherwise I'd forget.

So, this time my better half is trying to register onto the on line system, it comes back with your country residency do not match, if you are sure the details are correct go the immigration office to fix it?
I have triple checked it, they are the same, has anyone else come across this please?

Check out threads below where some people had same problem in the past. I vaguely remember having a problem myself years ago, but no chance of remembering now.

Is he currently in the UK or abroad?
Do you use a VPN to switch your location to watch BBC IPlayer? If so turn it off
