"
However, 20 to 25,000 houses, some of which are still incomplete, could not be sold due to reasons originating from the Greek Cypriot side. "

25000 unsold property units mostly in iskele some half built..

So the plan is to sell to turkish people and give them citizenship...

Im not entirely sure turkish people will be enticed to buy as the benefit of citizenship to them is not really that great.

Clearly a huge problem for the builders & economy with limited current buyers for all this stock.

I cant see why anybody would buy in these resorts as many dont have deeds & existing owners are being charged up to £20000 to assign their contracts to enable them to sell to a new buyer and the goverment are allowing it probably because of all the unsold units and dont want people sellinh their resale to the limited buyers. Its a sorry state of affairs and truly makes the developers to look and act like cowboys. I can understand why its being allowed but its not a good look and most new buyers would run a mile if they knew about it .
