Three of my A/C are not giving out the heat they should be and it seems I have two options (Grundig) 10 years old A;sancak area,

1. Go back from whence we bought them and be told they are past it and need replacing,

2. Call an independant Engineers in who says they need a good clean up and/or regassing.

I haven't seen anyone recommending an Engineer for long time now,. Must speak good English, can't go through all the palava of Google !!!

We had new ACs installed last year, the difference in heat output is outstanding.
Buy a new one and try it out.

Lovely idea MVP, but sadly I can't afford three new ones, and it would be pointless to buy just one.

10 years id buy new instead of paying for service etc .

Probably not the best but ive been buying beko for some rental properties they come with a 5 year warranty.ive also only veen buying 9 btu for bedrooms...imo they always try to upsell.you a bigger one...

I did notice the beko ones price just went up.c 20000 tl for 9 btu. Theres a 1000 tl discount off each unit.more than one. I just buy online now with beko saves all that bit in the shop haggling for a cash price....online defo best price . You have to go to checkout to see the end price.

Much prefer online for all these shops now. The shops are all franchises and the best price is achieved cutting them out. You go theses shops theres.no price then you ask they get a booklet out with tables they tell you a big price then offer a discount like they are doing you a favour..then if you pay cash its better again.

Just go direct online if its an option..not just for aircons..

https://www.calculator.net/btu-calculator.html

Heres a btu calculator...funny the ones selling the units have a different calculator....

I think this one comes out way to low all i.know.is my 9 btu ones for 10-15 meter bedrooms are fine. I.buy 18 btu for a lounge kitchen.

I have used a guy called Ibrahim, very pleasant guy, good English and reasonable prices, he has fitted 3 new ones for me recently and cleaned another, the difference in the inverter AC,s is great, and the difference in cost between a 9 and 12 btu was very small, I have had Bosch and Samsung fitted, both excellent, he cleaned one of mine after the summer and it was filthy, i will have it cleaned again after using it all winter to heat the living room, ready for the summer I would recommend him to anyone, his phone number is 0533 840 82 18 he on whatsApp,

I think I might try one of the recommendations before going round shops. In fact the closest store to me is a Halos and I've used them for TV's kitchen equipment etc. Less than 5 mins drive . Present A.c's are all Inverters. Is Veli in the Alsancak area. Thanks.

Yes Veli is westside based but travels.
He has been very good to my customers and myself for many a year. He actually supplied our air cons too

snd1966, I rang Velli who lives in Lapta who says he knows where I live. He's going to try and pop up today. Hope he does, cos we're b====y cold and typing with gloves on!!

So do I, remind him you are b****y freezing if he doesn't turn up at the right time. He has a sense of humour!! But I normally only have to that in the heat of the summer when very busy and we are melting

snd1966, I did and he assured me he would be here by 1.30, and he's half an hour late so far. My poor old man is wrapped in rugs, coat and thermal gloves.

Thanks, he came albeit a bit late. Nothing needed replacing. going like the clappers, He walked into a spare bedroom and I said the AC came with the house i.e. 21 years ago and hadn't worked for 10 as room barely used. He twiddled around for a couple of mins and it now works. Its isn't Inverted but in an emergency it will be fine. Well recommended and very reasonable guy with good English.

Great that all sorted BB, and that you didn't have to buy new. It's way too cold to be without heating at the moment.
