New Driving Licence

My husbands TRNC Driving Licence expired last year, and because of medical reasons he is not allowed to drive. It dawned on me last week, that it was actually his only form of identification. Does anyone know if there is any other form of identification other than carrying a passport around all the time. (Which I would never allow him to do) . Thanks

Photo copy his passport and have it laminated, this is acceptable for ID at banks and hospitals etc and it is not a problem if it is lost. Deniz Plaza will copy and laminate and also the copyshop in Alsancak

BJB, Do you both not have stay permits from residency?? If so then you can photocopy that - shrink it to a easy to carry size as well - laminate it and that does the job!

Thanks for those suggestions. I did actually consider those. but D.L gives so much more information and I thought perhaps it wasn't going to be enough. Actually we have the five years exemption forms and they really are barely readable but at least you can read the bit the bit that says it expires 07.08.2230!!

Check the expiry date - seems you have 205 years of exemption - lol. Yours must include another life or two.
