Bringing a iphone back to TRNC in the not too distant future

My wonderful nephew bought me an iWatch for my birthday yesterday and one of my friends who was coming over for a week, bought it out for me. Have gone to install it this morning really excited and was told by the watch that it was NOT compatible with my iPhone!! Bless him he has just ordered a secondhand iPhone compatible with the Watch!! BUT dont know of anyone coming out in the not to distant future!
Can anyone help me. Feel so upset that after all his good intentions it doesnt work and that he has now spent more money!! Bless him. I'm a lucky girl to have a nephew like him.
