CLOSING POST
I have tremendous respect and admiration for the Moderators - I just dont know how they do it. It is therefore with respect and in a spirit of helpfulness I make the following suggestion:
When closing a topic, give the reason but please refrain from giving your own personal views - it gives an impression of lack of impartiality and may mislead readers who have not read the whole thread that it has reached a conclusion which it hasnt!

Re: CLOSING POST
valid point RR. Normally (and I thin k we all should always) we comment such as 'this thread has run its course', or 'the question has been answered' or similar. If you are referring to the Walkway one, I feel it was closed prematurely (Sorry to the moderator who closed it) but one can respect they thought it best. And of course as Soner says one may start another thread, as he has himself in order to get a poll going on this one. So anytime you feel a thread has been closed prematurely or you cannot see the reason PLEASE feel free to write to me or soner, and of course if one feels strongly then to start another thread.
|Hope that helps.

Re: CLOSING POST
and don't forget anyone who has any query can ALWAYS write to info@kibkom.com. soner gets all these (poor man) but he will always answer! so why not put that in your e mail list of addresses, or in any case all you need to is start a private message and put 'soner' in the 'to' box.
You can also contact soner through that way to thank and praise him!!!!!

Re: CLOSING POST
Thanks Marion, actually is wasnt so much about closing the post (I am actually in two minds about that, bashing a head against a brick wall comes to mind!) it was the comment about obeying rules that I felt was very inappropriate - particularly as one of the more sensible posters had very carefully and usefully explained about democratic questions of rules not being the same as breaking them.

Re: CLOSING POST
7678 is the current rating for my post "Asking for advice from expats living in TRNC" that was closed in Nov 2012!!! So although it was considered ot have run it's course it has still continued to attract interest and be a useful point of reference for people seeking help and advice. Once again, many thanks for all the Kibkommers who helped me and in turn helped so many others interested in moving over to TRNC.

Yes, KaiserPhil still in the sandpit!! Sinai actually - so quite a way from Cairo & the other main cities (thank goodness). Very worrying times here that's for sure. They really need to sort themselves out here before the country is totally destroyed for tourism and investors. Hubby has got work as Scuba Instructor at present so holding out here but with ears and eyes firmly on news media
