LOL, Mel7348, this was a spammer that escaped through one of the moderators in a very clever manner. But banned now and we will not see him again. But he was right, this is a cool forum, lol....

Yes ia agree and it is easy to follow, cannot get around complicated things, but this is right up my street. I thank you Soner - OK for computer literates but into your 70s a bit harder. Well done.

I take my hat off to the older generation that have taken the plunge and make use of the internet. I come across many youngsters in my work, 20's 30's - that still have no idea as to even send an email.

The best way to learn, just don't be afraid to click. I am also self taught and am a web developer. Read books over 13 years ago and played around with computer applications. Been on courses that could not teach me anything, infact I would point out thier mistakes in teaching incorrect methods to students learning about web development. I am now a real IT geek.

I was a late developer with computers (started in the 80's at uni) but went on courses, ended up teaching some software, but the greatest joy was in Australia where I was teaching people over 90 how to use the computers to keep in touch with their loved ones in U.K, and send stories, pictures, photos etc, etc. so it is NEVER too late to learn.
Incidentally when I got my first computer I was terrified that if I pushed the wrong button it would all blow up!
and so glad people are taking to this forum. Soner revived it to fill a need and it looks as though he has succeeded.

As today is a cool day in more than one sense, I am off to drink coffee to get warm.

I agree with the comments of it being a cool site. I have looked at a couple of others and did not find them user friendly. Here's hoping that this site will be as popular as 44 without all the nastiness that went on. I look forward to being a part of this site.
My retirement to Catalkoy begins mid May and I cant wait.

We are looking to move to TRNC when we sell in UK and also have Catalkoy as an area to live in

We will look to rent first , but what made u decide on C/koy and r u rent or buying?

Its useful to chat with movers who r ahead of us

If you don't want to put too much on open Kibkom I could send our email
