I bought some last week from Erdener supermarket, they had lots of them in stock. They were up at the back of the shop to the right of the salad counter.

Carolhm, I have two packs and am sure I will be going to dark side soon, so if you haven't found any by Sunday let me know at Boot Fair (cos I will forget) and I will let you have a pack, I know what it is like to be without our oxo cubes, mine is an essendional item in food cupboard, as are knowing that I have at least two packs of cigs in my handbag , mind you don't get a chance to smoke many of them Sundays now, shouldn't complain good for the health

What's wrong with Knorr or Maggies?
I mean OXO are OK but not something to get obsessed about?

Philoz.
After a grueling morning in the swimming pool in Bolton, we would go across the road to a small cafe were we could get a mug of hot OXO for 6 pence.
In the summer months we had the pleasure of home made chilled nettle beer.
THERE WAS NO MAGGIE OR KNORR,
The problem today people are forgetting their childhood, I didn't miss oxo till this thread was started now I am off to the South for a bucket of cubes, hope the shops are still open.

Sorry Carole,
Today I visited Ileli and both the Starlings and could not see any red oxos, I even asked in all but a little shake of the heads proved there is none around at the mo.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. what memories that brings back. Spent hours in the open air swimming bool in Scarborough, bloody cold it was too but at that age, I didn't seem to notice. Then wrapped in a large towel drinking a large mug of hot Oxo. It tasted like nectar and in the early 50's I'm sure it was a lot less than 6 pence!! In later years it was hot Bovril, but by then we were a bit better off!!

Your the star Carolhm, thank you for my lovely gift, which shall be having a trial tomorrow, not as bad as last week, but def needs some support so thanks again to you and Mick, and hope your brekkie was up to your expectations xxx
Oh so right you are Sophie, even though I did not come along till the 60's but what happy days carefree days they were, and the simple things were so appreciated, could not be without my oxos, and also miss a lot of other things from them days, like being allowed to walk along the streets in safety!
