Thank you, I will try to summon up the courage to come and 'have a look' I am no spring chicken but I would like to try something that will help me to keep fit and, after having been mugged twice, something that hopefully, will give me a bit of confidence when out alone.

Hi Blue Butterfly,
I am really sorry to hear that you have been mugged in the past, it's very
traumatic, i know as the same thing happened to me at knife point when i
was a teenager, in fact it was one of the main reasons that i started doing
martial arts in the first place.
Regarding your age please do not let that put you off, there are many
people around the world who practice Wing Chun for their whole life. We do
not do big kicks or leap around, 70 % of what we do focuses on hand
movements. Wing Chun is based on techniques devised by Women for self
defense, we use physics and body mechanics so that we do not need brute
force to protect ourselves. Wing Chun will definitely give you confidence,
it has for me.
If you are not comfortable joining in a class you can just watch or if you would
prefer you can come down and just have a chat with me before the class
starts or give me a call on 0533 841 7871 anytime and we can chat over the
phone.
if you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Serif
