Hi guys,
I thought I should inform you about two of the events being organised by Mağusa Belediyesi to celebrate Women's Day on March 4th. I realise that only those of you living in the Mağusa or Boğaz areas can feasibly attend these events In any case, ...

On Monday, March 4th, at 8pm, Whitney Houston's former backing singer Della Miles will give a "tribute concert" (to Whitney) at the Mağusa Kültür ve Kongre Merkezi - this Cultural and Congress Centre is located close to the government hospital ... if you're heading out of Mağusa on the Salamis road, then a couple of hundred metres after passing the hospital you come to a roundabout - if you turn right at that roundabout, heading "beach-wards", then you'll come to the said building.
Here's a link, telling you a little about the woman singing there on Monday evening:

Then on Wednesday, from 10am to 6pm, Mağusa Belediyesi, in cooperation with various women's groups, is organising some form of festival at the Bandabuliya in the old city, showing (demonstrating hopefully) some village handicrafts ... in any case, it might interest some of you.

In case any of you do want to go to the concert tomorrow evening, I should tell you that the directions aren't quite correct - when heading out of Mağusa on the Salamis road, you should turn right at the second roundabout after the hospital - it's still only about 500/600 metres from the hospital, but it is the second roundabout, not the first.
If you are totally new to the area, then I suggest you write down Mağusa Kültür ve Kongre Merkezi on a piece of paper - everyone around there knows what/where it is.
