HOW DO I MAKE THE PRINT BIGGER PLEASE
I have just had my PC at the repairers for 3 days and they've done everything asked of them. BUT it has come back with everything, web sites, forums, gmail (you name it) in a font size 9) My eyesight isn't that brilliant at the best of time's but this is ridiculous. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do myself to rectify the problem. I don't want to have to take it back to the shop if it can be avoided. Also the " and @ are reversed. Can I solve this myself?
Thanks
Thanks

Sophie, if it is just an internet browsing issue, you can alter the text size in firefox by going to tools(at the top) then options then content-you can change the text and fonts in there.
If it's internet explorer you use then go to View at the top of your browser, then you will see 'text size' in the drop down list.
I don't know about Chrome as I don't use it but I would imagine the process is similar.
You can alter the text size in other things too,but I would need to know what operating system you use.
Finally,I am very 'long sighted' and have found Microsoft's free add on called 'clear type tuning' has helped me a lot.
Obviously it only works with Microsoft operating systems, but if you google it you can find it on the Microsoft site.
Hope this helps

If it's affecting the size of the screen view, CTRL 0 will put the screen back to usual size, or on the view option on the menu there is a font size which you can select. On windows 7 you need to hit the ALT key to get the menu options, sorry if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs

You're not teaching your Granny I assure you!!! It starts as far back as everything on the desk top. Why, when you take a PC to be repaired and the repair is carried out, why do repair people never put your PC back to the exact settings that you prefer.

If you go to the top right hand side of your chrome page you will see three black bars, click on them, click on settings, on the settings page type in font size in the search box , it will give you the chance to change the font size.

Re: HOW DO I MAKE THE PRINT BIGGER PLEASE
PhilOz, I've done as people suggested and got Emails and Forums to operate at a sensible size. Don't use Chrome, it was a pain in the behind as far as I was concerned. Everything fills the screen but the writing is so tiny and I'm not sure when to do as people suggested. i.e. the icons on the desktop are tiny. I'm sure I should be going into Control Panel or similar. Problem about PC companies (and I don't have a real grouse with where I go) the youngsters who do the repairs etc., seem to assume that everyone knows everything.

I had a similar problem, Sophie, when my screen print suddenly went small. I'm using Firefox and much to my surprise, as it was something completely new I'd never discovered, if you go to the top left-hand size where it says "View", you can zoom in or zoom out. This should solve your problem. Hopefully!

While in your internet browser, Hold CTRL then spin the mouse wheel.
This is usually how people manage to accidentally change it.

You could consider changing your Screen Resolution. This will make everything bigger on your computer.
1) Go to Start
2) Click on Control Panel
3) Click on Appearance and Personlisation
4) Select: Adjust Screen Resolution
Drop resolution down one from where it is set. You can see in test mode then implement if you are happy with what you see.
