I thought I'd posted this earlier, but obviously stuffed it as I can't see any post. Does anyone know the location of Wayne's Keep Military Cemetery as my husband would like to visit it to see the graves of two in his battery who were killed in the 'fifties while he was serving in the Army. Thanks for any help.

MoBry.
Waynes Keep is within the green line, and it is not possible to visit without the permission of the UN.
You would have to contact someone in the UN to arrange a visit, this can be done via the British High Commission.
This is a lovely cemetery which is well kept by the British cemetery commitee.

Wayne's Keep Cemetery is very close to the Metehan crossing / border. As you pass the Greek customs cabin turn right to the main road, then right again onto the main road heading towards the Coca Cola factory.
Keep on that road until you come to the first set of traffic lights, where you then turn right and pass an petrol station (Esso). continue on for a few hundred metres and you will come to a UN buffer zone barrier, Wayne's Keep is on the other side of the barrier but you will need permission to visit from the UN, perhaps someone can furnish a contact number.

Thanks very much for that info. My husband's going to check records to get the exact details of his regiment and I think there are a couple of blokes buried there from another regiment that Bryan would like to visit.
