Saturday 30th March, 11a.m. to 1.30p.m. An EasterFair at Bogaz Harbour to raise money for the caring for cats done by Jan McGhee who is organising this fun event. soemthing for everyone, including a couple of (human looking) Easter chicks; a hunt the easter egg (for children of all ages), goodies to buy, teas, best and worst easter bonnet ( I might have a go at the latter), raffle, plus on the stlals traditional baked foods, flower and plant arrangements, quality second hand clothing, bric a brac - in factanything Jan can get her hands on to sell for the cats. she feeds cats, has them cared for mediclaly, and generally is a one woman Cat Saviour., very much deserving of support.
Oh and she happens to be a lovely lady too, who will give you a great welcome. so, what a great place to be on a sunny day by the sea at bogaz. (Karsal Restuarant)

Bogaz is situated on the coast road from Famagusta to the Karpaz, and Bogaz Harbour is a few kms past Iskele on that road. Depends on your starting point as to the best route, but take a look on a map. It is possible from the Girne area to go along the coast, over the mountains, left to Iskele, and left on the coastal road. Or one can go as if going to Ercan airport and take the left turn before going over the bridge to Ercan. Again, follow through to Iskele and then a left and a few kms down the road is Bogazx Harbour. The Karsel Restaurant is on the right and there is a fairly large sea frontage, where there are often a lot of cats/
Hope that helps. But take a lolok at a map.
I am sure that Jan who organises it would love to see new friends go over there. What I like about her 'do's' is that they are like the small village functions with a sense of family that I left behind in a former life.
see you there?

it is a bit o a journey, and I warn you that it is a very small event, but people are prepared to make fools of themselves dressed as chickens etc. I like it because it is 'homely' but if you want osmething bbigger then why not go to Lapta on Sunday for the Fun Run/Kite Festival etc in aid of SPOT.
