At 3am Sunday morning we will "lose" an hour, as the time becomes 4am. It means that from Sunday evening you'll be having your sunset drink an hour later

For the record, clocks in the UK will also go forward tonight (Sunday morning) ... at the same time globally ... but at 1am local time.

Can anyone explain why we still go through this ridiculous routine?
I cannot even understand why it was started. I know there was issue with farming but just start an hour later or earlier if it means getting harvest in. This from someone brought up in farming community, father was a farm worker and I worked week ends school holidays etc so I am well acquainted with life in the country.
