SOUTH SIDE SITUATION

Call me a cynic but after watching BBC news this morning can't help feeling that the Greek Cyps propaganda machine is in full flow as usual. Come on, Cyprus Aid Concert!!! the situation they are in has been 2 weeks not 2 months or 2 years or dare I say nearly 49 years as has been here. Surely I can't be the only one who thinks they are milking it because the TV cameras are still there. One woman (who looked under 50) said 'it is like war, I am of the generation of when the Turks INVADED!!!' Don't think it will be too much longer before all interviewed will be saying 'this wouldn't have happened if we hadn't been invaded by the Turks'. So once again, this side will be 'the bad guys' as usual and the Greeks will be the ones 'hard done by' perhaps if they had been kinder to their 'brothers' they may not have found themselves the way they are now.

Absolutely right. They deserve no sympathy and certainly not aid in any form.
Just imagine if it were the TRNC that was in trouble. There would be street parties all over the south. Let 'em starve.

Just keep remembering the events following independence. None of us should forget, especially the Turkish Cypriots.

Thanks trooper - I was beginning to think all the rest of the Kibkommers are Greek sympathisers

Well, "Hubris" and "Nemisis" are, after all, Greek words.

But just think if the Greek Cypriots had voted for the Annan Plan, Cyprus would probably have been united and WE would be part of the EU and in this mess, so may we should be grateful to them !!!!!!!!! "There but for the grace of .................." !and don't tempt fate.
