Advice please - copying Videos to DVDs
I want to get my Videos copied to DVD format. Can anyone advise where I can get them copied into good quality DVDs in the Lapta to Girne locality.
Many thanks

We got ours done at the digital camera shop opposite the big Lemar in central Girne. Went well but cost a bit more than we'd expected, so check the price before committing.

There is a car shop at the top of metal ally, opposite is a DVD shop, he will copy for you he charges on the length of time it takes to copy.

HI philoz.
Been there and tried it, I have a large old LP collection I tried to convert to CD.
I tried to copy a Tape of our Sons pass out parade onto DVD it never happened as it was a nightmare converting the different files.
I ended up at the DVD shop I have mentioned, no fuss and a very good quality DVD.
If a person is good with computers and knows the different types of files and how to put them into a folder, then convert to a different type of format and send it to the DVD rewrite there is no problem.
Maybe you could post something telling the members how this is done, without having to follow online instructions that are above the average KIBKOMER.

Many thanks for your responses.
Will give the place opposite Lemar a try first and see how good the recording is.
Again many thanks

Re: Advice please - copying Videos to DVDs
I done this myself previously. Set up a video player and a DVD player with built in Hard Drive to the TV set. Played video and recorded onto the HardDrive then copied from Hard Drive to DVD. The DVD player with Hard drive was quite expensive at the time but am sure they have come down in price over the years. If expensive to get shop to do, then might be worth doing it yourself by buying the equipment - possibly even second-hand by requesting on the forum.

I had mine converted at a shop (sorry, name forgotten) across the road and a little further down from Coffee World in the High St.
They were excellent copies.

MoBry: I went opposite Lemar as you suggested. He doesn’t do the copying now and referred me to Photgraphers next to Kombos Taxi by the Girne roundabout near the Car park. Copy OK, but nothing special.
Karmels: Will give your guy a try.
Kaiserphil: Is this the shop on the corner leading down to car parks on the front? I still have a few DVDs to copy.
Soner: Will give your suggestion try if I can’t get decent copies of my DVDs.
To all… many thanks for your interest and advices.

Joe Soap - yes, I believe it is. With Coffee World (Assuming it is still there ) on your left, the shop is a little further down on the opposite side.
They were TCs returned from Canada, very nice family. The did a first class job for me.
