Kibkom Forum on personal attacks.

I have no gripes with people posting their opnions, be it good or bad. If someone wishes to vent their disapproval of something, then fine - it is their personal opinion and are free to do so; what I do not wish to happen is members directly attacking each other or people in their community, be it individuals or groups, whether Turkish, Greek or English. There are times when language becomes an issue in that we sometimes do not get what we intend to say, accross clearly. We may sound abrupt, unintentionally; this is what sometimes happens when we communicate through text and not being able to visual facial expressions. But when this does happen then there are other means to make contact privately on this forum to discuss any issues in a mature manner.

Personal issues concerning your neighbours or someone you dislike, should be dealt directly, face to face, through letters or a solicitor, but not through posting on this forum.

Members please read the forum rules.

Amen, Soner. And you never know why people behave as they do. I am a great believer (when I can pull myself up high enough) in 'Let me not judge my brother until I have walked a mile in his moccasins', or the Biblical idea that if you have a problem you try to sort it out with the person and it that doesn't work and an intermediary doesn''t work then go to law. Slagging each other off (to use a common parlance) merely creates misunderstandings, hatred, and sometimes (as in East enders) murder.
We are all too nice on KibKom for that.

One thing about the saying "Don't criticise someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes" is this: -

By that time you're a mile away, and you've got a good head start

Well said Soner, I have no time for people who want to hide behind a name on a forum to 'have a go at someone' but have not guts to confront them face to face over whatever they are upset about. Let us keep it like this.

Hi Soner. Fully agree on this. We don't want kibkom to turn into a another 44.

Agree wholeheartedly, this is a forum and we are supposed to support each other, Cyprus 44 was a great source of information at times, but became a slanging ground, lets keep this what its meant to be, a source where we can seek advice and keep each other informed, that is what we need, and at the end of the day the only thing!
