Just had new shutters fitted to my bedroom window by the company in Catalkoy which is called Blue Island I think. Most impressed by the standard of fitting and the quality.

Just had two fitted on the west side of the villa where the sun becomes a nuisance at around 3pm, were so good in quality and price that I ordered another one a day after they had fitted the first, and then a new front door for a colleague. Really good company, and yes about 150 stg cheaper than the last two quotes I had for the same items. Can recommend them.

Are these wood, plastic or aluminium shutters?
I am looking for someone to make 8 custom internal doors.

Aluminium. If you want wooden doors try Ronnies near Jasmine court.

I have three patio doors and I was thinking of having something put up that would help a) keep the bright early morning sun out and b) give me extra security. Am interested to find out what the rules are, planning permission etc. that is needed. Anybody know who exactly I should ask?! Are the ones you have Deniz1 door types or are they on runners that come down over like they do in part of Europe, such as Holland? Thanks.

1) you dont need planning permission.
2) Mine are door types I did look into the roller type but they were too expensive for poor little old me!
I like the door type any way as you can have a little bit open or a lot which is not so with the roller ones.

Blue Island have just fitted a new aluminium front door for me. It was not an easy job as the wall started to crumble but they sorted it out. I am very pleased with the finished job. Well done guys.

I have to agree with the posts for Blue Island, I have had underground storage doors fitted, main front door, 3 sliding patio doors, 3 plain doors, 4 huge windows and flyscreens fitted, and 3 lots of shutters.
I had a quote from another firm and for what he wanted to charge in Sterling, Blue Island charged in TL.
I had to call them back during the heavy rain as water came under the door, they came straight out and fixed it. Very polite guys who cleaned up after themselves. If anyone wants to ome and see the workmanship send me a pm your welcome to come and take a look.
