We know it's summer when the pool parties start!

Almond Holiday Village's Sunday afternoon pool party will start Sunday 5 May and will run every Sunday through the summer with live music from 2pm to 5pm. Food menu and BBQ available.

Barry Snakes will be performing the quieter 'Snakes Unplugged Almost Set' with acoustic favourites on 5th May from 2pm.

Also proof, when you see holiday makers walking down Girne high street, resembling boiled lobsters with their stomachs hanging over their skimpy shorts, half covered in tattoos, and that's just the women!!

Spot on Sophie - Brits on Tour. The should be shot on sight, this is a Moslem country and despite the fact that it is not practiced by many the religion should still be respected. Tits and bums hanging out every where is not only disrespectful it is disgusting to those that have to see it.

Once saw a news item in UK where some of this type of people were being interviewed as they were walking around a shopping centre there and the comments were along the lines of our bodies are beautiful and we will show them off where ever we are. Obviously 99% of the people just wanted them to cover up before they threw up.

What disappoints me as an EX-pat is that some of the worst offenders of this this "crime" are TC's from the UK. It never seems to dawn on them how offensive it can be to their fellow TC, born and bred here.

So the people I see doing a weekly shop half dressed in Lemar or Erdener are tourists oh deart I mistook them for ex-pats, do the TC's from the UK have a stamp on their forehead because I can never tell the difference,

If you had spent nearly £20 on poor quality tattoos it is only right that the rest of humanity should appreciate your exquisite taste(and body odour).

Suppose we have to appreciate the well toned beer belly that will have cost a fortune in fine ale to develop. Then of course there are those well developed man boobs. As for the well defined builders cracks....... Of course points 1and 3 apply equally to male and female of the species - Brits on Tour!!

Oops for a moment I thought I had logged into an ex pat forum but reading the damning comments realise I am on the wrong forum ! But to be fair I have seen ex pats throughout the year, in winter, and other seasons in a particular degrading state from prematurely aging people from excessive smoking, drinking, and eating abuse. I do not emit myself from these observations but keep my opinions to myself unless I can post a perfect picture which I am sad to say I cannot ! Will all the people posting damning comments on this thread please post a full length picture of themselves so we can at try to emulate their perfectness although I admitt there is a certiain yuk about the tatoo and sweaty t shirt brigade. As for the comments re people in super markets, they are a different species to the ones initially mentioned by sophie, they must not be confused with Brits on Tour and deserve a thread on their own.
