It is with great sadness that we would like to inform everyone who knows us that Alex, Chris and the rest of the family will be leaving the Five Fingers just after the end of the month.
We have had 9 great years, but with the village getting quieter year by year we have taken the huge decision to call it a day.
We will still be having the scheduled monthly quiz on Saturday 1st June and on Sunday 2nd we will be having a grand sale of anything that we have left starting at 11.00am. Everything must go, from equipment to furniture, booze to books. No sensible offer will be refused.

We would just like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years, particularly during the Flower Shows, and hope we will be able to keep in touch and maybe share a beer at the "right" side of the bar for a change.

Just got through a box of tissues. Worst news of the year - for me, but maybe the best for you. As a friend of mine used to say 'time to move on , darling' and I guess it is for you, and maybe later than it should be. so, book us in for the quiz, and tell me what I need to buy from you.

Sorry that you are going. You have been there ever since we moved over here over 3 years ago and I suppose thought you would always be there............

Have enjoyed knowing you and the rest of your family and always enjoyed the atmosphere there.

Where will we go for our coffee and cake.

As one of our favourite places we always looked forward to seeing Alex and the crew. Will be sadly missed when we come over in August . My daughter and their families will feel likewise. Thanks for everything over the years Alex and enjoy whatever you decide to do.

Hope you will all book in for the final quiz on the 1st June. But as my husband likes to win, perhaps the clever people might stay away, or we have no chance. But it is fun, and no one is really a loser as it is a great nnight. However, onthe 1st June it mmight be an idea to bring the paper tissues. It could bee an emotional night.
