Can I advise people that, contrary to the misleading report in today`s Cyprus Star (centre section, page 6),the presentation night, at Pia Bella, is an all-ticket function, and is sold out.The commitee have not been approached,or have approached the Star and I am afraid that anyone attending,even with a copy of the Star tucked under their arm,will be refused admittance, thankyou,Chairman, Bob Neville

Sorry Bob, but the article came out of a conversation with Alex who wanted the public to know about the two new trophies. It was, obviously extremely wrongly, assumed that people could go down and have a peep, possibly from the bar, as the layout of Pia Bella lends itself to that.

However, I know full well that it was highly unlikely that anyone would read the Star in the morning and rush down there in the evening, especially as tonight there was at least six things going on of a special nature, apart from the usual restaurants with entertainment etc.

Apologies for misleading the public, but as I say it all came out of a conversation with Alex to let people know how great it was that you had two new trophies.

Also, sorry I did not come to take photos or do a report, but I was just too embarrassed to walk through the doors of the Pia Bella have had a phone call castigating me for my dreadful mistake.
(mind you the mistake in my view was not half as bad as another newspaper that had Alex and his three children all living in an apartment above the restaurant he runs. it would be extremely chilly, as all that is above the restaurant is a roof! So you see, we are all extremely mortal and make mistakes.
