If you go to Ledra Street, head past Debenhams on the left, go to the top of the street, turn Left, the main Post Office is on your right. They have an English speaking lady there who takes you through the form. They accept people from the North, just have your passport ready, the cost is about 40euros for a year. The only stipulation is that you tell them your address is Lefkosa, not the village where you live.

Wish it had been that simple when we tried it about 4 years ago. We had to produce proof of an address in Lefkosa, and when we couldn't, we didn't stand a chance. Things have obviously been make easier since then, thank goodness.

There is also one near the Metahan crossing if you prefer to drive over. They are very friendly, speak English and just want your passport. For the address, they just put Occupied Territory.
