I pay one rate which includes all chemicals and a guarantee for the pool pump, filter and sand. Neptune Pools.

Yip that's good Ceg123 - but what's the rate? where are Neptune Pools located?

The Neptune pools deal is a good one I think-they look after my neighbours pool (He doesn't live here full time) and his pump got soaked and broke the first week ,they put him a new pump in free of charge.

They are not cheap though(I don't know what they charge)-but you get what you pay for.

Basic pool service will cost you about £60-£80 per month I think, but there are lots of cowboys around that just chuck unmeasured chemicals in your pool and don't do proper testing.

I cant recommend any firms for basic service , but you need to ask them lots of questions-like how often they clean your balance tank, and how often and how do they test- i.e do they just do an occasional ph and ch test, or do they ever test for total alkalinity.
A sparkly pool isn't necessary clean.

Having tried about 4/5 different companies over the years by far and away the best, most professional and reliable is Pooltech. They come when they are supposed to 12 months of the year - which very few of the others do, judging by the companies our various neighbours use. 10 x 5 metre pool is £65 per month. They also e.mail in advance of any local holidays when they are not coming. First class service and a lovely clean pool always.

I personally prefer the robotic pool cleaner always turns up he works every other day for me , and always does a fantastic job , twice a week is not enough unless you like swimming in a dirty pool , my man charges nothing never complains always on time just an up front fee which covers the job for years to come , one years normal fees nearly cover the cost of purchase .
