Hi Folks
Please can anyone help me find the art shop in Esentepe that is apparently near a garden centre that may be called 'The Hanging Gardens' ................are you getting my drift on how lost I am already?
Look forward to hearing from you
cheers

Journey1, I think the place you are looking for is just past the KIM market on right hand side. Drive into village, passing Mosque and Belediye on RHS, pass Yapi market on LHS and you will see KIM market straight ahead - it is on your left hand side and the art place is on right hand side just beyond it - if you reach Gabriel's garden centre you've gone too far. They (Gabriel's) do have some arty items inside, though - plus they sell our very good preserves

Been there and found it only to be told that they were now a florist shop! However what a welcoming couple they were - invited up to their house to view the original art and sculptures. Truly hospitable and delightful!

We tried to find a local shop which stocks art to no avail but over the last 3 years have bought numerous original oil paintings from Arty in Girne.
I will provide directions to the studio should you so wish.

Sorry I lead you astray - it was an art shop the last time I looked but glad you had a nice experience with the new owners - let's hope they last a little longer than the previous ones.

ps C_ O_ A you did not lead me astray - your directions were great - just the outlet had changed - but it was such a lovely experience anyway!

Travel towards Girne.
When you are on the outskirts of the town you pass a large Lemar on the left.
After a few hundred metres you come to a big roundabout (the first and only one on the route).
Turn left then straight accross the traffic lights.
A hundred metres or so on the right is a small parade of shops, "Magic Touch" being the first.
Arty is the furthermost shop in this parade. Either turn right into the parade by Magic Touch or there is a turning in front of Arty, just before the ceramic pot store.
If you miss the turning travel a little further and go round the small roundabout.
Simples!
I don't suggest it will assure a discount but it may help if you say James recommended the studio to you.
They do very good and inexpensive framing by the way.
I hope you find something you like: now, having almost filled the walls, I suppose 9 out of 10 times we do not but the 10th time makes it worthwhile.

It has not moved, we were there yesterday at 17 30.
By the way, my directions assume you are coming from the east

Have you had a look in Gabriel's garden centre at Esentepe? They have some very nice canvases, painted by a local artist.
