Turkcell v Telsim

We have two phones on Turkcell PAYG one we use for sending texts to UK which we usually top up once a month with about 300 credits the other we use for making calls here usually to the bank, nethouse, digiturk etc. and have always topped up with about 100 credits which used to be adequate but now seems to disappear very quickly mainly because of being put on hold with said people above. However my post is that I have been informed by Turkcell chap in Starlings that the minimum you can top up with now is 20TL for 307 credits which although not a fortune, is not what I want. I cant see what difference it makes to Turkcell or is this just another way of making a hidden price increase yet again. I have put more credits on one phone and transferred credits to the other but to do that I have to pay almost the 500 package which gives 500 free which presumably I would lose if I then reduced the amount by 100. Also am I right in believing that the 500 free is for use only to other Turkcell users which of course again would not be of any use to me. Sorry this has gone on a bit but my question is are the credits and services offered on Telsim better or have they followed suit with Turkcell.

Hi namps
We always had one each in the UK. Also if one of us is out in the car and one at home and an emergency arose or something as basic as picking up something extra at a supermarket how would we let each other know with only one phone. Am sure we can't be the only couple to have their own phones. How much is the standing charge on contract and what is your package as could be a better option than PAYG at the moment.

Have had mine on contract for several yrs, not sure if I paid anything specific on registering it as so or if you get special deals now but if you go into turkcell office top of Girne high street they will be able to give you all the info.Good luck
