Bit of a long shot but we need to go back to UK in November and January and need to stay in Kent (Maidstone-Rochester area). We usually stay in hotels but would prefer a bit more space - just wondered if anyone knows of any self catering appts/cottages etc that we could rent for a couple of weeks each time.

There are a couple of KibKomers hwo live in the area who might know the answer. Actually my step son does, but he commutes to London and sees no one and knows nothing. However, another option to save money is Travellodge in the centre of Maidstone, but of course that doesn't giv eyou 'space'

Thanks Marions - yes we have stayed in the M/stone Travelodge before but just thought this time it would be better to stay in a "home" where we have bit of space and can cater for ourselves. Hopefully someone on here may know of somewhere.

Hope you come up with something! I know exaclty how you feel. I stay with my step son, although it is getting difficult for alan to manage the stairs to bed! So travellodge might have to be our answer! i will ask David when he arrives tomorrow if he can think of an angle. good luck.
