Across Europe and particularly in the RoC, immigration is a big issue. With this in mind, the Cyprus-based United Nations Development Programme have arranged a conference/debate/film to be held at the Home for Cooperation tomorrow (Friday) evening at 5pm. The H4C is to be found on the left as one walks from the Turkish side to the Greek side.

The UNDP are calling the event An interview with the "Invisible" Other. The key-note speakers will be:
Nicos Trimikliniotis (GC professor at the southside European University)
Öncel Polili (TC lawyer)
Eleni Theodorou (GC sociologist)
Doros Policarpou (KISA representative)

You might like to know that KISA is an organisation that supports immigrants in the south and as a result are not favourites with the GC authorities. I helped out at their summer school a couple of years ago.

By "buffer zone" I am of course referring to the section of buffer zone by the Ledra Palace.
