To rehearse Saturday's 20 Temmuz ceremony there will be road closures in Lefkoşa on Wednesday from 08:30 in the morning. In particular a two mile-section of the Mağusa road from the big Gönyeli roundabout (often affectionately called the Sh*t-on-a-Stick roundabout) will be closed from that time until the preparations are finished.

If you do arrive at that roundabout during that time on Wednesday morning then it will still be possible to pass through the city centre to get to, for example, Ercan airport, but it would be better to take the Buffavento/Five Fingers road over the mountain.

Of course on Saturday morning the same section of road will again be closed for the ceremony itself.

There will also be road closures for the rehearsal/ceremony on 19th and 20th in Mağusa each time from 16:00 in the afternoon

However, let me reassure you Becker that by 1pm at the latest on both Wednesday and Saturday, the roads will be open and the traffic will be flowing as normal ... and there certainly won't be a problem at the time you're going to the airport.
