Rain Tomorrow?

I just looked at the weather 'Ticker' I have on my desktop(courtesy of AccuWeather.com)and was surprised to see that it will rain in the morning, apparently.
http://spotlight.accuweather.com/dyndoc ... yId=123386
I have lived here for about 2 years, and as far as I can remember it doesn't rain at all from the end of May until maybe mid October, and this has been confirmed to me by several longer term residents and restaurant owners, who tend not to put their tables outside until the end of May.
I have also noticed that there is quite often a difference in forecasts generally from different providers which puzzles me as I would have thought they were all using the same information from the same weather stations.
I would be interested to know which weather services other Kibcommers find to be the most accurate.
As for me,I'm no Meteorologist, but I will bare my bottom in Erdeners if it rains in the morning.
P.S I was going to say Arse but thought I might get told off (again!)by the Mods.

Ooops - sorry yes,It's the day after tomorrow(senior moment!)and it probably will rain given that I am usually very unlucky when I make rash challenges,I will be in as soon as it opens on Friday.
If you attend this spectacle and bring your camera please ensure it is fitted with a 'wide angle' lens.

I have known it to rain here in August, a real downpour. I remember locking my wife out in her swimming costume in the heavy rain leading to much mirth and merriment as you can imagine.

We were holidaying at The Malpas,2006 I think.Sat down to breakfast with several others on the patio.Chatting in general when I come up with! Its gonna rain today. They all looked at me & said you talk out of you arse, laughing. We will see says I.Some went their own ways, herself, myself & a couple others got the free bus to beach.Usual stuff, swim sun, drinks later.Small black cloud appeared over mountain! Here it comes I say.No says they it will blow over Girne.Haha! Ten minutes later almighty thundr storm forms,p****d (poured) with rain, folk running every where, herself & I to open bar with awning accompanied by two others.Lasted about an hour as I recall.Got back to the hotel pleasantly oiled.Sat down to dinner when same people arrived.OK,OK,how did you know it would rain?I am a builder says I.Can smell it in the air! First time it had rained on Aug 12th for 30 odd years.Ended up weathercasting for the next two & half weeks.P.S. At that time 50cl Efes worked out at £7-50.Believe it has come into line with most local prices now.

Ok I must apologize now. I have been out doing an Indian rain dance because I cannot be arsed with hooking up the hose pipe and watering the garden. Plus it gives a bit of entertainment to my next door neighbors who are a miserable pair at the best of times. But when I had finished I noticed they were out anyway. Seriously tho when ever the air pressure drops significantly and the wind gets up then that is a sure sign of a storm on the way. The only problem is with the micro climates that exist out here you will find for example that it will rain in downtown Alsancak but not where we are in the Alsancak foothills of the mountains.

Been here since Jan 2006 and we have had rain in July/August at least once each year. Well not rain, blooming horrendous storms in some cases. In 2006 it was so heavy that the back fill around septic tank was washed out and the yard turned into a mud bath such that I stepped out in my willies up to the top.
So summer rain, not a rarity.

It rained in Karsiyaka in August last year so I would suggest people steer clear of Erdener on Friday

When I worked on the tour boats one July we were out ny Escape beach all the customers were in the sea while we prepared lunch, it suddenly clouded over and began to rain and there was mass panic to get out of the sea back on the boat. I said why? and the answer well its raining! But you are all wet anyway I said and gave the cyprus shrug.
