Hi Libby, Just wondered if you had any decent priced seats for anytime over next weekend up to Tuesday??? 3 tickets if possible from ercan to Stansted.

I think the post is "from Stanstead - to Ercan"! I don't think it is of any use to anyone traveling from Ercan to Stanstead!
Perhaps libby can clear that out if I've got it wrong

I am sorry libby and I really do not mean any offence - I thought long and hard about writing this post but I feel as a forum member I am entitled to express my opinion on the subject of so called "bargain prices" (not), presumably by Pegasus!

Over the past 3 months I am able to buy cheaper tickets from Turkish Airlines (Europe's number one for the 3rd year running) than on offer by Pegasus! Plenty of leg space, Delicious free Food, free drinks and great service altogether. This I have been doing both for my Istanbul, Amsterdam and London flights - must have traveled 8 times during the last 3 months!

I will not go into details of the big difference in terms of flight experience and comfort but I must let you know that flight from Ercan to London Heathrow, tomorrow until 10th of August actually costs 136 pounds one way! AND that includes breakfast, lunch and drinks all the way.

I used to fly with Pegasus a lot, but ever since they became a public company they have become more expensive than almost all other national and private airlines...

Please do not take this as personal because it is no reflection on you at all - I am just not happy with the way Pegasus sends me junk mail and sms messages about their cheap offers "starting from..." whatever, yet when I log on to their site all I see are fares higher than THY flights (especially to Sabiha Gökçen)

Big Oz, wish I could find the cheap deals with Turkish always look at both options and would prefer TA but Pegasus nearly always win on price when I'm looking, be it two weeks or 12 months in advance. What's your secret?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Libby mentions anything about 'bargain' it is Marions who threw the word in.

ozankoys; I may be wrong but "last minute tickets" used to be associated with cheap tickets - especially offered by what was called "bucket shops". I am not sure if they still operate though. Second thing, there are plenty of seats still available on Pegasus flights to/from London at around 140-145 pounds sterling any day from tomorrow onwards. So what message am I supposed to get from "last minute tickets" as a heading?

Also, yes Pegasus flies to Stanstead and not Heathrow (or Gatwick) where the aircraft landing charges, parking fees and ground services are a lot more expensive - more of a reason why they should offer much cheaper air fares than THY don't you think?

Halffull There is no secret. Just book and pay online with THY https://online.turkishairlines.com/internet-booking/
For example I just checked online for a flight to London tomorrow, there are 4 flights ( x2 to Gatwick, x2 to Heathrow) where you can get a one way seat for 137.80 pounds sterling! By the way - you may call this a trick, but do not search for return flights! Check the "one way" box so that you are given any promotional tickets available on that date as well
