balloons can be purchased from Mr Pound, but if its hellium balloons most florists do them but a bit pricey. The shop in Karakum has moved up opposite Dano Bakers on bellapais lights, coming from Karakum to girna, left at roundabout and is on the right. They seem to have reduced stock but hoping they still do balloons

If you read the link Philoz gave on his posting,I think you will see what he means.I don't think it was intended as a direct dig at you.I must admit I had no idea of the use of Helium.

Lor51-I didn't realise helium was such a rare and finite natural resource, and was shocked when I read the article.
I was simply drawing attention to the fact you don't see it on sale as cheaply as you used to.
No offence intended ,I was just trying to inform of something that was news to me too.

No where did I say that the balloon I bought was helium filled, that was because it wasn't. so the comment "Thats a little bit less helium for a cancer scanner then" was not called for.

Philoz - your link was very interesting - I had no idea at all about the supply situation and uses of helium.
Absolutely food for thought.
cheers for that!
