Hi,
has anybody been offered terrapins for sale or noticed a neighbour has acquired some lately?. We have 5 or 6 missing from our pond. This has happened in this past few days. Please phone 03928218013 if any news.

Could a local dog or cat have killed taken them ?

Why do all the tea leafs seem to come from alsancak.

Bit of a sweeping generalisation, is it not?

Is it possible that with all the rain we have had over the past month your pond got a little near the top and they have escaped as it were

Thanks for your input. Our pond is not ground level it is 3ft above and also a 1ft railing on top. The water level is kept low not to make it easy for someone to reach in and take any. There is no way an animal or bird would be able to take any either. To get them out you would have to climb into the pond or have a net to scoop them up. that is if you were quick enough before they dive for cover.

They were definately taken by a person or persons unknown.

Thanks for your input. I am sure we will never see them again. Some people are suggesting we put chicken wire etc round the pond to deter thieves but if after 20 years or so it would come to that we may as well give up. Over the years many people have enjoyed watching them and sometimes feeding them!!!. It is a shame. Lets hope it was a one off.
