East Side Music, Misfits at Sea Breeze Wed 21 Aug
Come on down and boogie to the 5 Piece MISFITS band..... !!!
We are LIVE......ie no miming to pre-recorded sessions, no 21 piece orchestral backing tapes, and just for your entertainment all guitarists bum notes or drummer's timing c*ck-ups are definitely performed live !!
If Dennis-the-Meance has got his Sax mouthpiece repaired and back from the UK in time, it will be a 6 piece band that you hear on Wed 21 Aug.
Blues, Rock, Rock & Roll, Reggae and Smooch covers from the 60's onward.
Best Regards

Oh we Love you guys, playing to you is a pleasure which makes all the hours of rehearsals worth while. Every week we drop in a new number to test the response.
Ok..... so we do it in the last 15 minutes when nobody gives a hoot....except the bandmaster Jeff who plays war if it ain't perfect.
Summer-of-69 raised expectations to the point where the drummer has to play it off the dots to get the fills right.
Unheard of, a drummer using a music score ?
Sheesh !

Yes...but they get their own back to even the score (sic).
You get a cryptic text message from Andy (Lead guitar) saying "Have a look at Santana's Samba-Pa-Ti for tomorrows practice".....
Oh Yes, knowing that I have never yet played a samba groove successfully for 3 minutes non stop, I discover that they have been having covert rehearsals for "the strings section" during the last week, and they have it note perfect.
So, I open up with a samba-ish groove, sort of in time with legs and arms all doing different things, and then from their smug looks I work it out that on the studio version there are 3 percussionists on bongs, jtembi and caisson, the drummer is totally incidental!
NO, it won't be ready for Wednesday, maybe next week at Bollywoods or Stevies perhaps.
