If you are about to MOT your car, please check your wheel balancing before you go !!!! They have a new toy, and its failing loads of cars on wheel balance, handbrake and suspension.

My mechanic is going mad, as its failing them on the slightest fault.

We must have been lucky then, we went last Wednesday and all he did was walk round it and check the engine number.

You were lucky, I know of 5 failures, and all went onto the ramp !!

Is that Lefkosia or Girne.

Girne - got us with the handbrake too! - crazy!! Last week a friend of ours got failed for "emissions" !! even though it had passed the emissions test 20 mins earlier! It will be something different next week - they are a law unto themselves!

I'm not due till next year......lol. Was just passing on info from my mechanic.

How much is an Mot.

Don't suppose they have ever thought of doing a proper safety check i.e.
Brakes, Lights, steering, ball joints etc.

How many cars do you see with only one light at the front and no lights at the back?

Checked lights on last two cars I took there

Surely some one must know the price of a MOT.

I went this morning to have my MOT, failed on front wheel alignment, 8 out of 10 cars in front of me failed, faulty lights, suspension shock absorber problems, Tyres etc, They have a new computer and rolling road now, So more like a proper Mot now.

Well it looks like they have finally realised that there are too many old bangers running around now. I was wondering if they are targeting older cars or it all cars.

Our friends car failed this morning. She was given a list of what it failed on (Did not see the list though) And her car will be in the garage getting sorted out until Monday evening.

But it may put some people putting off going for the MOT now. Maybe the cops will increase the roadside spot checks.
