i don't know where it is coming but seems to be from the mola bar !!! so load at night i can't sleep and can even hear it over the air con running , it does not even start until after 12.00pm and goes on until the early morning and sounds like really bad karaoke !!!
how come other bars obey their licences and this bar can do what they want ?

And again last night!!
At twenty to four this morning loud boom boom type "music" and base beat.
Seemed like it was coming from Cratos.
How do they get away with it?

When you are living in a practically lawless country (esp for the expats) what do you expect.

Exactly the same in Edremit so I guess it can't be the same venue. It was 4am before it finally shut down last night and 3.30am on Friday night.

And as above it doesn't even start until 11 pm onwards however prior to that we have Turkish music at its loudest from a local restaurant.

If I had the energy to get out of bed and go and find out who it was then I would know who to report - maybe next time Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

as for the music (i can't really call it music )!! in Catalkoy the noise is coming from the mola bar , its strange that the place does not open in the evening until after midnight !! i did hear that they got fined the other week for loud music but that seems to not bother them !!
all i know is that it is really annoying and and i can't sleep when it is going on .

You can always report it to the police.According to an English news paper yesterday,a bar in Girne and one in Gazi M were fined for loud music.worth a try!!

You can report it to the noise abatement office - just dial 123 during office hours. They make a report and pass it onto noise officers who then investigate. They will contact you when they are doing their spot check in your area. I had my doubts !!!! But we had a phone call from them the other Saturday night at 9.30 to say they would be doing a sound check in our area and were checking all through the night. Not sure but it seems to be around the time the fines were handed out.
The 123 number told me that they cannot do anything if people do not complain - the more people who complain the more frequent the checks on a particular venue.

The fine these places pay is nothing compared to the money they take so it will never stop them, they need to be shut down but the liklihood of that is about as rare as hens teeth.
