Electricity Costs (Standing Charge)

Please can you tell me what is the standing charge the electricity company make. It is the first moth that the house we have has been empty. The electricity is turned off at the fuse box, therefore there should be no usage at all. I pay by Standing order / Direct debit and my statement says that they have taken 55.53 tl. Not a lot I know, but is this just the minimum charge.

Our standing charge is 40 tl per month.

Plus you will have the monthly charge for street lighting that used to be on the water bill.

Street lighting is on the electricity bill so is your garbage collection and cleaning. Sounds about right at todays rate its only £16.00 months...
