Inernet providers question

Is anyone using a different internet provider rather than multimax.
I have been with multimax for over 2yrs now and been quite contented with the service, but over the last couple of weeks I have experienced many days of constant freezing when watching some streaming tv channels ie bbc iplayer etc. Its strange though that I can watch the multimax ntv channel with no problems normally.
It maybe that's its only in the alsancak area as several friends have also been having the same problem.
I do get some results sometimes when I phone in but only if the gentleman answers, as the young lady doesn't seem interested and never phones back when she says she will, and you can only phone in a certain amount of times before you pull your hair out.
Getting back to my original question, I would be grateful for any feedback concerning other providers that you maybe happy with.
I am not knocking multimax as they have been good but maybe its time for a change unless all the ISP are havjng the same problems which is why I am asking this question.

Thank you

Have been with extend for 8 years, service has been up and down, we seem to have the same problems. We ring to say the speeds are poor and they go back up for a few days and then slow down again.
Have given multimax [Was extend] a call to give me prices ect, they take my particulars say they will come and do a survey to check the area [KYRENIA]for reception, never hear from them again. Guess i am stuck with extend.

If Multimax NTV is working fine and BBC Iplayer doesn't, its 99.5% not a Multimax problem. It can be routes from Turkey-UK is affected which is out of Multimax control and would affect all ISPs or it can be that BBC servers are overloaded, and you should contract them.

There is nothing in the market today that compares or even comes close to MM speeds/quality and speed. We are in a totally different league. That being said, it may be that your connection in particular may have an issue, always a good idea to perform a speedtest at http://mmx.tc/speedtest and if its not good, fill out a ticket to get your connection checked at http://www.mmcyp.com/crm

Hello archie, if you can spare a few seconds to drop me an email with your name to kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com , I will check what has happened with your inquiry and make it right. You dont need to be suffering

[29/08/13 1pm UPDATE: Thanks archie for the email, it looks like there has been a slight misunderstanding... As we do not do sitesurveys (as we already have extended coverage in Kyrenia region and able to connect more than 98% of all applications, and it takes same almost amount of time to sitesurvey or install a customer, as most of the time spent is on travelling to/from), Office has taken your particulars when you have called on 26th Aug and treated it as an application, already have put you for installation for 30th or 31st when I have contacted them. They will be calling you ahead to let you know exact time they are coming. END UPDATE]

@becker, our main link from Alsancak area has been having issues on Monday night. The problem has quickly been identified, traffic was routed through backup lines while we had fixed the main problem. Unfortunately, backup lines are not strong enough for streaming media. Although a serious issue, everything was back up and running within approx 1 hour and all parts that has caused us issue has been replaced with brand new ones the following day.
