The "old fashioned" type shoe repairer in Karaoglanoglu is absolutely brilliant. He can do anything from making a shoe from scratch to repairing anithing to do with leather. Have been using him for 5 year now an he's terrific. A tiny little building next to the Muhart office in Karaoglanoglu and as cheap as chips.

Me too, he practically re made a pair of my favourite shoes, new heels, soles and got rid of scuffs, solid workmanship, a 'new' pair of shoes and all for 20tl.

I bet they will last me another 10 years.

If you drive FROM the Lapta direction, then you go into Karaoglanoglu, Tempo on your LEFT, Credit west on your RIGHT, drive into village, Post Office on your RIGHT, first turn on your RIGHT after PO, drive about 50yds past the Muhtar office and there is his tiny little shop. He usually closes from 12.15 until 2.15 Monday - Friday but don't know if he opens Saturday at all. You feel as if you've gone back in time, but by golly his knows his business.
