You'd hard pushed to find better than the Sunday lunch served at Club Ilgaz; they're always booked weeks ahead.

Didn't specify an area as it made no difference onviously lol.
Thank u everyone else for all your responses, we ended up going to punjab in lapta after reading a review. Worst sunday lunch ever and oh my god even worse service.
We did visit bo thai last sunday in catalkoy that wasn't bad but not great, tasty food but puddings were tasteless, small portions but for the price and a 3 course meal it was fine, very clean & pretty surroundings, owner has a hard time smilling.

Only ate at Punjab once, never again, but next door at Royal Spice (formerly Al Shaheen2) was a different story. Abbas and staff always welcoming. Al Shaheen in Karakum is also a favourite venue and I second what Belle says about Zafer and Imtiaz aided by Wokaz.
In another league and price range is Efendi. Different style and superb in a different way. Love it!
As to Club Ilgaz went once, had booked but they didn't seem to be expecting us and we had lots of waiting around to do. Bit clique too we thought. Food was okay but seemed to be of the quantity not quality variety. Maybe it's changed. Hope so as on our experience it needed to.

Al Shaheen at Karakum, my favorite for Sunday lunch. As for Bo Thai I think the owner is hard of hearing and misses some conversations ,not really miserable.

From what they've been posting on their Facebook page, Crows Nest in Karmi looks really good! And of course there's also Levant in Karmi too.

Just have to add Punjab, as my favourite place for Sunday Lunch. Riaz and his staff are always attentive, food is great and generous portions.
Am surprized at the comments above, as you can tell by the amount of people eating there that its always popular.
Also favour Antique (in Esentepe),and Bo Thai in Catalkoy. Antique is the only one I know offering a Turkey Roast, and home made cheesecake !!!
Bo Thai offers a more original menu, and I would like to say that I was there last week also, and our puddings were delicious.

No need to be surprised by comments metin, everyone has different taste in food and what a good service should be.
We did go to antique once also, portions were tiny and although we booked a few days before Sunday we were told when we arrived that there was only turkey available as everything else ran out, a problem if you do not like turkey. My husband also asked for Heineken beer but was told only one left, should get fully stocked and make sure there is food left for the people that booked ahead, but again an opinion that some might not agree with.

My wife and I went with friends to the ' OLD SILVER ' restaurant back of the harbour.
They have only started to do Sunday lunch and the meal was lovely with meat which could not have been more tender.
Would recommend it to anyone.
