Niyazi from Pet Line Catalkoy. A lovely lovely man.
Have used him since he opened, fortunately till now only needed food, yearly inoculations, flea tick & worm control.
My elderly dog who I bought with me from the UK was attacked by two rescue dogs. Due to her thick coat was only able to find one obvious puncture wound, common sense should have told me there was more
I cleansed & bathed it twice daily with saline & iodine solution after two days I noticed an odour. Took her to the vet.
He found two more puncture wounds that had began to go bad, operated there & then cutting the bad flesh away. She ended with a large open wound on her hind quarters. But for his timely intervention I could have lost her.
He patiently showed me how to treat the wound. His words to me were "If you can't manage bring her to me each day and we'll do it together, no money !!"
I was able to manage with the help of a very trusting dog.
Today at first check up Niyazi was very pleased with the healing process, the treatment continues.
If your dog/cat gets bitten by a stray/rescue dog don't hesitate like I did go straight to the vet. I could have saved her unnecessary suffering had I acted sooner.
I am guilt ridden but so very very grateful

That is a lovely story. Thanks for sharing it. It is so good to hear of kind hearts and caring souls, especially towards our four legged friends. it does however highlight that we still have a long way to go regardng helping them all. PersonalyI get afraid when I see a load of street dogs together, and even though my dog is on a lead, I walk rather quickly, and if the street dogs follow, I panic (almost).
