Just to let people know the riots still continue in Taxim Square and the main shopping street. We are in the thick of it as we speak, here to celebrate my birthday, this is one to remember. Riot Police, tear gas and protesters. We were locked down in a local restaurant for over an hour, and It didn't serve alcohol!!!

Anyway made it back to the Hotel just as the riot Police came by with yet more tear gas, happy days.

Steve-maybe they heard you were coming,so all the restaurant owners where you didn't leave a tip last time you were there have kicked off?
