I would be very surprised if you really needed to replace your water pump - they run virtually forever. Most problems are caused by the control mechanism - either the old-fashioned 'red football' or the more modern electronic controller. If you could describe the symptoms I could advise better.
But even if it is faulty you can get it repaired to almost new condition at much less cost than a replacement. I would recommend Press Tecnic in Alsancak - they are on the main road just after the 2nd Starling as you head towards Lapta. They will fully refurbish the pump for you or, if that is not possible, they have a good range of new pumps at reasonable prices. The key for you, unless you are a good plumber, is to find a similar pump so that the fittings match exactly - it is a bit of a nightmare trying to adjust angles, pipe lengths etc.

Pumps start at about 170TL for a chinese one up to about 280 TL for an Italian one.
Pressure controllers start around 70TL.
fittting charge should be between 50 and 100 TL

It could also be something like kalk in your pipes, especially if you are on tanker water.
A simple remedy is to tap all your pipes to loosen it then restart.
Hope this helps.

Think my pump has just gone. The water pressure started to fluctuate a bit and today pump not coming on. Any idea of cost of replacement and fitting would be appreciated.

If you look carefully Electri. Peter answered the question on SEPTEMBER 2013. Its best to check the dates, but it shows how prices have gone up in 10 years!!!!!
