Does anyone know if the Owner/Landlord of a furnished let, can inspect his property if he suspects it is being abused? Presumably he'd need to make an appointment with the tenant.
Useful advice would be appreciated.

I know the law in U.K and in Australia and in Italy, but not sure about it here. When we had tenants, of course I always asked if it would be convenient to call, BUT the law could actually be that you can go anytime,.Whynot check with an estate agent or friendly lawyer - assuming they all have the same version of the law.
Hope this problem is not on your doorstep.

What does the contract between the landlord and the tenant say about "Landlord's right of inspection"?
If the contract does not include such a clause, ask to make an appointment.
