Care Hire at Larnaca - Driving to the North

Can anyone give the name of a care hire company at Larnaca who'll let me drive North please? I did this from Larnaca many years but unable to remember the company name. Thanks. John

My daughter hired one from sixt last year and the year before we went with auto union the year before.

If you choose any car hire company then check their Terms and Conditions is usually states in there whether you can bring to the North.

Recommend Petsas. On-line booking, they will arrange your insurance for the north (small charge - ? €10 extra) and vehicles are good.

Do you need a route card from Larnaca to Esentepe, if that's where you are based/travelling to?

Very good service, reliable cars, and cheaper than Hertz or Avis. You can pick up and drop off the car at the airport, or in the town if you prefer.

Would also recommend Cyprus Car as the above post says. Great service. Have now used them 14 times. Never a problem.

Turkish Insurance at Pile Border - you collect it just before you cross over.
Approx 30 USD for 1 month. You can also choose 7 days for slightly cheaper.
Rabiye who has cafe in between UN and Turkish Crossing at Pile can arrange this for you.

Her English is not that great, so best to call her then text car details to her: car make, model, age, reg your Full name and driving licence number, date and time of crossing.

The crossing is at Pergamos (Beyamadu), not Pile. Visitors, especially off night flights, will get confused if the wrong village is named as the crossing. Pedantic, I know - but necessary for those visiting for the first time.

Tom I'm confused over these crossings on the east side. I've been through the Pile crossing at least I thought it was but now not so sure!! Can you throw any light?

Marie at Busy Bees Estate Agents (Bogaz) can provide up to date details as they regularly get people driving north in hire cars viewing properties.
They give good directions as well, they'll be happy to help.
