I love to watch it occasionally. I think these kind of people believe that their ten minutes on the telly gives them some kind of kudos. The dental problems are amazing, and the old fat tattooed birds.
UK is full of them. It's just fascinating to watch people who can only shout and argue with each other, and nice when its a total contrast from your own home.

Occasionally I sit and watch it. I can't make out if its the saddest TV programme ever made. These people really are the dregs of British society and anyone studying social anthropology or history of Britain its a must watch. If those people are the example of the under-class then Heaven help the UK. Don't forget a country is a triangle and supposed to be built from the bottom up. What does it say about how the UK functions today. I don't consider myself a moron, but these people exist and its no good sticking your head in the sand - they won't go away. If they do, then please don't let them come to the TRNC!!

If you think that is ridiculous, maybe you should see some of the US equivalents.

The people appearing on those really ARE morons. The UK ones are bright by comparison.

And many of the other shows are simply stupid. "Extreme couponning"? "Teen Moms"? And the ruddy Kardashians on everything it seems.

I can get away with all this because my other half is a Yankee!

I watch it every day since I was on it.

Once I remember seeing someone say he had a job, did not use Facebook, did not do drugs, was not an alcoholic, did not abuse his wife or kids. He did not steal to fund any addictions. Spoke to nearly ever member of his family and never slept with anyone but his wife.

He's a marvellous role model that Jeremy.

As he has taken his show to the U.S., I would love to see him here.

My suggestion for the show.... "You paid for a house, used an estate agent and a lawyer, but you still don't own it 9 years later"

Jeremy says to the audience, "now let's welcome the Government Minister, a nice round of applause please...."

What would be your suggestion?

They do not consider that they are "humiliating" themselves; rather they think that they are gaining attention ( and if they are gullible enough, assistance....)
...and yes, they HAVE come to the TRNC - last year, while on holiday, we had the misfortune of a family in an apartment next to us, where the two young children (Damien from The Omen and his sister) told us that they had to "get to the airport very quickly, and Granny couldn't come to visit until the police stopped watching her".....
One evening, a police officer knocked on our door looking for a family....
We subsequently learned that they were (sort of) squatters....

I'm afraid (in my opinion) that show is not all that far removed from the likes of Big Brother, Come Dine with me, and others of the so-called "reality shows" - what I prefer to call "slag-off" TV, as no matter how the originally were, the main theme seems to be argue, insult and generally put down each individual taking part in the program - not entertainment to me at all....

The people that appear on this show are no different to the so called Celeb's only difference in people like the Kardashians have more money genereally. They are all self indulged, self important muppets!
