There was some sort of issue up there the other day, the dam and the pump house or landing area at the beach were barricaded off with heavy machinery and there were banners up. Some sort of industrial action perhaps??

I was told by a Cypriot friend that the workers hadn't been paid for some time and were protesting. It looked clear yesterday so maybe the problem is solved now.

Must have got my wires crossed, but I thought the coastal path at Lapta was the Project of the Century, or was it the Ercan Disney theme park ?
Think I will wait until this years Project (or 2) of the century is announced to get excited over.

Must say all around the North we have noticed massive black pipes being laid. Also in the villages quite a few new big containers assembled near to crop land. Well done I say !!

It's a bit like the 'Mythical Tuesday' by which workmen always promise to have completed their work - they never specify 'which' Tuesday, and in my experience, it usually refers to a Tuesday that nobody has ever heard of! - and which never arrives...
